New York, NY—The next time you are at a party, you might have noticed the minimalist, eye-popping decor that is a hallmark of any modern party venue.
But what if you are not a fan of this trend?
How to make your party space more eye-catchingly colorful?
In this article, I will share with you how I went about creating a space that has the same style and function as a party room, but for less money.
The results are so eye-opening, it will make your guests feel like they are part of the party.
Here is what you need to know about decorating your party room.
I have already written a lot about the basics of creating a minimal and eye catching space, but I am going to share with the readers how to do the job with minimal materials.
And the best part is, it takes less than $25 to start your party.
It is all in this article!
I have created a minimal space using two pieces of plywood and a pair of 4′ x 4′ framed pictures, all of which I had cut from an old movie poster.
You can also use framed photos of the same place as well as prints of the room, if you wish.
I also cut the frame pieces for the ceiling pieces and the door frames using a hacksaw and a miter saw.
I made the wall and floor pieces using a 4×4 wood frame and a 4×4 sheet of 2×4.
The framing pieces are cut and stitched on a table saw.
The flooring was cut from 4×6 sheet of ply.
For the walls, I used 3″ thick plywood.
For my ceiling, I cut a 4-foot piece of ply and stapled it with a piece of scrap wood.
I cut the ceiling out of 4×6 sheet metal.
For a side table, I placed a 2×2 piece of wood in the center of the table and a 1×2 square of ply wood on either side.
I then stapered it with 1×4 and 3/4″ plywood pieces.
For our flooring, I took the plywood, cut a small piece of it, stached it with 3/8″ ply, and stipped it in place with a hacksaws saw.
To finish, I stahed the ply wood into a small square, stitched it in with a pair on a piece and stippled it with the same pattern.
And that’s it!
There you have it.
