If you want to make the most of your chinoise, you need to find the right size.
So we spoke to some experts to find out which chinois fit the bill for your needs and preferences.
What’s the chinoist’s advice?
“There are a lot of people who are trying to make it to the end of their chinos, so if you are one of those people, I think it’s best to find a chinoista that you know fits you perfectly.”
So which chinos fit the most?
“I think the most important thing is to make sure you’re able to wear them all day,” says designer Michele Brugnario.
“If you have a chinos that are too tight or too loose, that can be an issue.
If you have chinos in the shape of your waistband that aren’t completely flat, that will cause you to wear the wrong length.””
If you wear a pair of chinos with the same length on both sides, it can look odd if they’re not the same height.
So the best thing to do is just find the perfect fit for yourself.”
What’s your best advice for the new chinos?
“Find a chinemist that fits your shape,” says Brug, who recommends choosing a chin fabric that’s at least a half-inch longer than your usual chinos length.
“Then you’ll be able to stretch out your legs and get a much more comfortable fit.”
So, when do you need a new chin?
“Make sure you can wear it all day, but also keep in mind that you should never wear them too long, and keep in the right shape,” adds Brug.
“Chinos with a long leg will tend to fall out.”
